Hello, I have an RCD 360. the reversing camera is activated, but I don't have a camera. How can I remove the camera code? I can't get into the control unit with VCDS. the message control unit not responding appears.

Well, I too am unlucky in finding this thread late after buying an RCD360 pro off aliexpress, however, I have had the unit installed for almost 2 weeks, and the one issue I had is the screen not powering up a couple times after turning my car on (2013 mk6 golf). So far no battery drain, and every time I've played around with obdeleven with the key in ACC mode and car not running, battery voltage has been a good 12.3V

I have entered the long coding menu, and have disabled the rear camera, however, it still appears when going into reverse, just no more rear camera message... I am waiting to install a rear camera anyways so this isn't that big of a deal.

My question is, has anyone been able to mess around with this unit, enable engineering mode, etc... I don't want to risk bricking it since it isn't an original unit from what i've been reading here.

I'd also like to know, do these RCD units support the car info function like in MQB platform cars? I would like to enable the current fuel consumption, avg speed, distance to empty, etc on the unit, and wondering if the PQ harness from the car has these features and it's just a matter of enabling a headunit to read out the functions

thanks for this forum, suddenly i bought "wrong" RCD 360 + but now I want to buy correctly RCD 330 with no fake parts for a long term use.
I want to ask if it is possilbe for first view to recognize "genuine" RCD330 after reading every reply-

1. It doesnt have SW number V8571 , 5711 , 5814
2. but it could have 6RD035187B or 6RD035187A
3. It need to have aux port infront
4. It could have microphone in button
5. It could have Android auto

Could anyone of admins confirm this ?

Hey guys, I just wanted to bring to light that I bought this unit, and apparently it is not an original, even tho it has aux input but you cannot use it, it has software version 5814 which I think it is used for rcd 360's, so just wanted to give everyone a headsup since it looks like a genuine RCD 330 but I think it's not, I opened a dispute on aliexpress but the seller insists it is a genuine one.
